London Calling

February 9th, 2010

Damon Rune an artist living in London recently sent me an email about  his own artrovert project he is working on. Damon has left 30 individual artworks around London City.  These individual pieces make up a larger painting that is being reassembled online as folks and blokes find them.  So far  he has a 10% recovery rate.  Much better than I ever had.

Good luck Damon and thanks for the heads up!

Yep, it’s still up and recently I received some photos of the infamous billboard. John Vitale was nice enough to send me one. John and his brothers were co-conspirators with Mark Michaels in the making of the sign. He was as surprised as I was that it’s still up.

I also received a photo from Thomas Ris, another rainy day commuter who decided to waste some time on the site. It’s funny, I think the billboard gets a little more attention on the rainy days since traffic is bogged down.

Thomas not only sent a photo but went on to ask co-workers if they had seen the sign. Most all of them had, but they just figured it was some local business. Thomas prodded a few to check out the site, and I received a nice email from Jennifer who wasted some time and didn’t regret it. Thanks to Thomas and everyone at Capitol Marketing Concepts.

From Thomas’ email I was able to glean the location of the sign so I google mapped it in street view and WOW there it was…. I still can’t get over how cool this is.

I feel very lucky that anyone would go to such an effort to create this sign for me and for all the nice people who let me know they like the site.
Thank you all!
Billy

Ah Baby!

November 20th, 2009

It’s YouTube Friday here at billyblob, or maybe a more appropriate name would be “Billy avoiding work by watching YouTube videos Friday”.   At any rate, I’m kicking it off with the latest video from Officer Roseland - We Want Your Money, from the 2009 album “Stimulus Package”.  The song and video rocks the socks off.

Hey, and Officer Roseland are playing a show tonight November 20th at The Rusty Nail – 2580 Haverford Rd. Ardmore, PA 19003. Check them out if you live near by.

Talk to you later,
Billy
